The One Percent Coalition recognizes
the importance of protecting the privacy of all information provided by our
websites users. We created the following policy guidelines with a
fundamental respect for our users' right to privacy.
Information Collected by
Client
The One Percent Coalition collects
information about users during their registration for our mailing lists and/or
online donations; user participation in certain activities on our website,
including forms processing systems; and when users request pages from our
server. These addresses are used by computers on the network to send the
requested pages to users and to manage the user session so that our web pages
can provide a custom appearance to the end user. In order to join our mailing
list or make an online monetary contribution, users must provide certain
voluntary information about themselves.
Use of
Information
The One Percent Coalition will not
reveal any personal information that users provide to us to any third party
without the users explicit permission. The purpose of collecting contact
information is to provide a Consumer Relationship Management System to our
users and the use of personal information provided by users outside of the
intended purpose is forbidden.
Using e-mail addresses provided at
registration or otherwise, The One Percent Coalition periodically sends out
e-mail newsletters, promotional e-mail, surveys and forms processing systems
to users about our efforts. Users can indicate that they do not wish to receive
e-mail information. Third parties will not contact our users through the
use of our e-mails except through advertisements within the emails, or unless
users ask to be placed on a list to receive e-mail from our advertisers on
subjects of interest.
Our site uses temporary cookies to deliver
content specific to users' interests and to honor their preferences. This
information is used to assist us in creating a site that will serve the needs
of our clients. Our site uses permanent cookies only if the user opted to
have their computer remember their login information.
The One Percent Coalition provides that
consumers own their personal data themselves. By signing up for updates from
The One Percent Coalition, the user has given specific permission to us to
communicate with them through email and to use data for research. Consumers
do not need to reply to an email with "remove me" or "unsubscribe". Consumers
have full control to delete themselves from the database.
General
The One Percent Coalition uses reasonable
precautions to keep the personal information disclosed to us secure and to
disclose such information only to responsible third parties after permission
from the user. |
